Quick, easy and super tasty snack full of protein!

These protein balls take about 10 minutes to make, they're so easy and so delicious!
My favourite protein to use is on by Arbonne as it's super smooth, blends well and is really chocolatey. I've never been able to cook or bake with any of the others I've tried before & this is just so tasty.
The combination of almonds, chocolate protein, dates and orange feels so luxurious!
How do we do it?
These are my favourite flavour of protein or bliss balls that I have made so far, it's like a healthy version of Terry's Chocolate Orange!! Great to keep in the fridge for a few days to grab when you get those sugar cravings.
There are so many things you can add to these bliss balls, I’ll be sharing lots of different recipes for you to try.
Recipe - Makes 7-8
15 Dates (use around 10 if using Medjool dates)
2 Scoops Chocolate Protein Powder
1/2 Cup Almonds
Juice of 1/2 Orange

Method
1. Add all dry ingredients to a blender or food processor and pulse until well mixed.
2. Slowly drip in the juice from the orange whilst blending. Ensure the mixture doesn't become too wet.
3. The mixture should have a dough like consistency, if it is too dry you can always add in more juice from the other half of the orange. If it seems too wet you can always add a few more almonds or a little more protein powder.
3. When you have the desired consistency take a large tablespoon at a time and roll into balls using your hands.
4. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
5. Store in the fridge in an air tight container ready for snacking!
Tips
It’s really important you only add a little of the orange juice to the mixture at a time as they can easily become too wet and therefore too sticky to roll!
If you do not have protein powder you can try adding 2 Tbsp of cacao powder. You won’t get the protein content but you’ll still get a good taste.
Medjool dates are by far the best but they can be expensive. I have found a great alternative at Tesco in the fruit and veg aisle. They sell a large box of natural dates for around £3.10, the brand is Jordan River. They often have that soft and squidgy medjool date feel, they taste great and are good value.
Ensure you use a good protein powder, I have struggled to find tasty ones that I can either drink alone in a shake or use for baking. After 3 years I’ve finally found the one!! You can pick it up in the Vegan Thingz shop – click here. If you fancy trying it get in touch and let me get you a discount! It is delicious and full of vitamins and minerals.
I get loads of my other ingredients from Buy Wholefoods Online check them out as they have such a range of products at great prices.
